Some holidays ask you to go somewhere. This one asks you to go up.

Most holidays ask you to go somewhere. This one asks you to go up.

From 24th to 26th December, priAviate is hosting WoW - Wind Over Wings, a three-day flying weekend near Bangkok built around a single idea: you choose the aircraft, and you choose how you want to meet the sky.

It's designed for hobby fliers, aspiring pilots, and anyone who has ever looked up at a small aircraft and wondered what it would feel like to be in it. No licence is needed, and neither is any previous experience. What you do need is a little curiosity, and a holiday you'd like to remember.

Why a Flying Weekend, and Why December?

The end of the year has a particular rhythm. Work slows down, families gather, and for a few days the calendar finally opens up. It's also, for many people, the first time all year they have room to try something they've been putting off. A lot of our customers tell us the same thing: they've been meaning to fly for years. The reason it never happened wasn't lack of interest. It was lack of a good moment. WoW is that moment, set at a time when you actually have the room to enjoy it.

Four Ways to Fly

The heart of WoW is choice. Rather than offering one standard flight, the weekend brings together different kinds of aircraft, each with its own character.

Microlight flying (30 minutes). A small aircraft, and almost nothing between you and the horizon. It's flying at its most direct, and for many people it's the experience that stays with them longest.

Cessna 172 experience (60 minutes). The aircraft that has introduced more people to flying than almost any other. It's stable, familiar, and forgiving, with a full hour of flight time. If you're not sure where to start, this is a great place to begin.

Multi-engine DA42 (60 minutes). A twin-engine aircraft with a different feel and a different level of capability. For anyone curious about what flying looks like beyond the typical training aircraft, it's a rare opportunity to find out, even if you're not pursuing a licence.

Helicopter flight (30 minutes, on request). A completely different way to experience the air, with room for up to four. If a helicopter is on your wish list, let us know when you enquire and we'll arrange it.

Vintage Aircraft (20 minutes, on request). Relive the era of classic aviation with choice of Vintage airplanes including Biplane and Monoplane tail-draggers. An exclusive aviation affair for those who crave of purilty.

Try One, or Try Them All

You don't have to pick just one. Because WoW runs over three days, you can fly one aircraft or several. Some people come for a single Cessna flight and end up adding a microlight the next morning. Others plan the full lineup from the start.

There's no right way to do it. The weekend is built so that your choices, not a fixed itinerary, shape how you spend your time in the air.

Come Alone, or Bring Someone

We've found that flying is often better shared. WoW works well as a weekend for couples, friends, or family who want to try something together, and for a lot of people, the best part is watching someone they care about fly for the first time.

If you're an aspiring pilot, it's also a chance to see how different aircraft feel before deciding which direction to take your own flying. And if you've been curious about hobby flying but unsure whether it's really for you, a weekend like this will tell you more than any amount of reading.
